Los Angeles- Visceral Realists participate in MOCA’s Engagement Party series, titled Engagement Party Crashers, where members of the public will be invited to participate in the removal of art from MOCA’s walls.

Los Angeles- Federal Art Project will be convening a debate titled "Is Fiction the New Reality?" between leading visceral realist Gustavo Raynal and Guggenheim curator Nancy Spector, invited to appear by teleconference. They will be debating the role of fiction and social reality in contemporary art practices today.

Los Angeles- g727 will be hosting a workshop entitled Self-Help Deaccessions: A How-To Guide featuring a panel of artist-curator York Chang, and visceral realists Gustavo Raynal, Eugenia Paz, and De Soto "Plastico" Madero. They will be presenting strategies on how artists get their work acquired by museum collections, and importantly, key strategies on how artists get themselves thrown out of museum collections.

Los Angeles-FEDERAL ART PROJECT and independent artist-curator York Chang are pleased to present the visceral realists’ first U.S. exhibition in Los Angeles, CA. Accompanying the show will be a newly published 96 page limited edition publication, including documents, drawings, early writings, crticial reviews, and major visceral realist manifestos.

Mexico City 12pm - Desoto "Plastico" Madero organizes a guided walk with Francis Alys, Gabriel Orozco, and a New York money manager to discuss the role of economic catastrophe in Latin America and the US. "Plastico" Madero will be available at Galeria Kurimanzutto to sign his new monograph, "The Illusion of Choice".
