The SPVR has always been editorially active, fundamentally through exhibition catalogues, among which are both monographs and publications about Visceral Realist artists, collectives, collections, and works. These include essays of diverse natures: compilations of conferences, artists’ writings, papers presented at SPVR seminars, and so on. These catalogues are not only conceptualized as mere documentation of exhibitions, but aspire to contribute to the study of Visceral Realists through contributions of theory. Through these publications, the SPVR offers the local public access to documents and materials that would not otherwise be available to them, and allows Visceral Realist artists and collectives to publish their work on an international level.
